Crepeau has been confirmed as Canada's first-choice goalkeeper for the 2026 World Cup, according to coach Jesse Marsch, per Matthew Scianitti of TSN Sports.
Analysis: Crepeau will be relied on for his reflexes between the posts despite his chaotic start to the campaign with Orlando City, for which he has racked up 62 saves and 38 goals conceded across 14 MLS matches. The 31-year-old is projected to get his first World Cup experience and could be active when facing tough opposition, though he may have a couple of chances to keep his goal unbeaten in the easier group-stage games. However, the injury-plagued Canada defense generates plenty of uncertainty heading into the tournament.
Allows six goals in Cincinnati
Crepeau registered five saves and allowed six goals in Saturday's 6-2 loss against Cincinnati.
Analysis: Crepeau had a difficult night in Saturday's clash, seeing his goal beaten six times for the second time this year despite his high volume of saves. The goalkeeper has stopped more than three shots in eight of his last 10 appearances since April. However, he remains without a clean sheet during that span as part of the league's weakest defensive unit. His focus now shifts to international duty, where he'll compete with Dayne St. Clair for a place in Canada's lineup at the World Cup.
Concedes one against Atlanta
Crepeau recorded five saves and allowed one goal in Saturday's 1-1 draw versus Atlanta United. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 83rd minute.
Analysis: Crepeau held a solid wall Saturday until the 86th minute, earning five saves while allowing a late equalizer. Unfortunately for the keeper, he remains without a goal contribution this campaign, allowing multiple goals in all but four games. He now faces a tough Cincinnati squad ahead of the World Cup break.

Crepeau registered four saves and allowed three goals in Wednesday's 4-3 win versus Philadelphia Union.
Analysis: Crepeau made four saves and, despite conceding three, helped his team to a 4-3 victory. The keeper is still waiting for his first clean sheet this season and has conceded 11 goals in his last four games. He has made four or more saves in eight of his 12 games this season.
Concedes twice against Montreal
Crepeau recorded two saves and allowed two goals in Saturday's 2-0 loss against Montreal.
Analysis: Crepeau had a difficult outing as his side was beaten by a pair of late attempts in this game. The goalkeeper has now allowed multiple goals in three consecutive matches while having yet to secure a clean sheet in 2026. Up next is a favorable home meeting with Philadelphia, who have scored the second-fewest goals in the competition.
